Inside Neptune: Proven Systems, Licensed and Live in Weeks

Not everything needs building from scratch. Neptune is our fleet of proven systems, configured for your operation and licensed as one monthly fee. Here's when it's the right call.

The division, and the name

Neptune is the Konstanti division responsible for software licensing. The name is the fleet — a standing set of proven vessels, ready to deploy, rather than a ship laid down from scratch for every voyage. Not every problem needs a bespoke build. Some are common enough that we have already built and hardened the answer.

Bespoke is not always the right call

Konstanti's default is bespoke software built end to end. But building from scratch is the right choice only when your process is genuinely distinctive. A client intake portal, a reconciliation engine, an FOI deadline tracker — these follow patterns we have already implemented, debugged, and run in production. Neptune lets you license that proven system instead of paying to discover its edge cases again.

A licensed Neptune system is typically live within three weeks — because the hard part was solved on someone else's deployment. Konstanti / Neptune

Configured, not customised

A Neptune system is fitted to your operation through configuration, not by forking the code. That distinction matters: it means you benefit from every future improvement to the base system rather than being stranded on a one-off version that can never be upgraded. You get something specific to you that is still part of a maintained line.

One licence, everything included

Because we run what we license, the monthly figure covers the system, the hosting, the monitoring, and the people behind it. There is no separate hosting bill, no support contract to negotiate, and no ambiguity about who fixes it when something breaks. It is one number, all in.

When Neptune is the right division

If your need is common — the kind of system many organisations of your shape require — Neptune is usually the fastest and lowest-risk route to live. If your need is genuinely distinctive, we will point you to a bespoke build instead. Ask for the catalogue and we will tell you honestly which of your problems already has a proven answer.

Bring the process that hurts. We'll tell you what it would take to remove it.
